Description
The Emily Morgan Hotel of San Antonio was originally constructed in the early 1920's as the Medical Arts Building on the Alamo Plaza. This majestic old building stands 13 stories tall, arching up to the sky and boasting building materials of cast iron, ornate detailing, and a gilded copper roof.
From 1924 through 1976, the Medical Arts Building served as a working hospital, comprised of medical wings and doctors' offices. In 1984 after renovations, The Emily Morgan Hotel was poised to open its front doors to its first guests.
