Description
Thatching is the use of straw or grasses as a building material and using thatch for roofing goes back as far as the Bronze Age in Britain. The building practices of bygone Britain ran to lightweight, irregular materials and thatch was by far the lightest weight material available.
This image was taken on a visit to the English countryside during the mid 1970's. It was taken using Kodachrome film and was recently scanned and a texture added to the image using Photoshop.
