Description
Crepe myrtles are small to medium trees that produce beautiful midsummer blossoms in hues of pink, red, purple, and white. Most varieties grow to be about 15 to 25 feet tall, with some shorter smaller varieties only reaching heights of 3 to 6 feet. Crepe Myrtles do best in warm, humid climates. A few varieties are able to withstand heavy frosts. Crepe myrtles are bought and planted as young trees, rather than being planted by seed.
