Mission San Jose was established along the San Antonio River in 1720. Known as the "Queen of the Missions", San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo is the largest of the San Antonio missions and was almost fully restored to its original design in the 1930s by the WPA. Spanish missions were not churches, but communities, with the church the focus. Mission San Jose shows the visitor how all the missions might have looked over 250 years ago.
Thank you for visiting our site. We have been married 58 years and are long time partners in our art as well as life. Most of the beautiful floral and butterfly images are from Carol's camera while most of the rest are from David's. The making of a photographic image requires more than the click of a shutter.In the days of film photography we spent many hours in the chemical darkroom to make the negative more than just a "picture". The current digital darkroom allows far more control and artistic development for the original digital file to come to life as art.You will find in our galleries realistic presentations, simulated paintings and outright digital abstracts.
